This Lent I have been using the Magnificat app on my phone. I appreciated this reflection from Pope Benedict XVI: Holy Saturday is the day of the ‘death of God,’ the day which expresses the unparalleled experience of our age, anticipating the fact that God is simply absent, that the […]
Over on my blog I have been reflecting on how time passes in such odd ways. Today is Mack’s 10th birthday. He died just two weeks shy of his 9th, but they were 9 incredible, blessed years and we are thankful for them. Today our students are having the 2nd […]
It really would be impossible to thank everyone adequately for coming out to the clinic, but we will do our best. Thank you! Thank you all. It was wonderful to see so many kids there (over 100!) having such a great time with our Penn State players. The coaches of […]
Next Sunday, January 12th Penn State Soccer will be putting on the Second Annual Mack Brady Youth Clinic for K-8 boys and girls. Players from the PSU men’s team will be present and it should be a great event. 4:30 in Holuba Hall at Penn State’s University Park Campus. FREE […]
Today I posted a reflection on our last full day of fun with Mack. You can find it on Targuman.org. We continue to be so thankful for the love and support that everyone has given us all year long and especially in these last days leading to this solemn anniversary. […]
When I was 8 months pregnant with Mack during Advent 2003 I read the Luke passages with renewed appreciation. Mary went to visit her cousin, Elizabeth, who was pregnant with John. After Mack was born I read these passages to the kids and we always got a good chuckle out […]
Now that some colorful lights have been added for the holiday season I thought it might be nice to post a gallery of all the pictures of Mack’s Teepee at Park Forest Elementary. Thank you all for creating this wonderful, fun memorial.
Chris asked me if I could send a quote for the website about what the Mack Brady Fund has meant this year to the program. I don’t believe I can distill in a single quote all that the endowment has meant to our current team and coaches. It has meant […]

We had a wonderful time with Elizabeth’s family over Thanksgiving. We were at Isle of Palm, South Carolina and while the temperature was about 15 degrees cooler than expected the sun shone brightly. Two months ago I attended the funeral of a wonderful woman who had lived a full life […]
The only thing missing this morning was Mack. His great friends, teammates, and school mates, were there. His favorite pancakes: chocolate chip and banana. The morning was crisp and bright. And, “Mack’s Teepee” was dedicated; a permanent addition to the playground at Park Forest Elementary school that was funded by […]
Yesterday, October 3, 2013, the Teepee at Park Forest Elementary School built in Mack’s honor and memory was completed! The kids were thrilled to be able to play on it. Mack’s second grade teacher, Mrs. Wilson, shared that one of her students said, I LOVE how we call it Mack’s […]
